Moonshots Bio

The Moonshots first launched in September 1999, when vocalist Andy Atkins and guitarist Steven Cray began performing together at private parties and events in Tokyo. Within a month, they had added percussionist Pequeno, and the newly formed trio quickly branched out to perform in clubs and restaurants, expanding to a full band that today includes bassist JP Sensey Eagle, drummer Toshio Chatani, and backing vocalist Ts'baki.

Moonshots music is a potent blend of hard-driving roots rock, blues and country, with traces of funk, latin and reggae sounds. The band has released two studio albums: Ten Year Testimonial (2010) and Pieces Falling (2015), and maintained a regular performing schedule over the past 15 years. The Moonshots continue to rock the clubs and live houses of Tokyo, filling dance floors with their 'feel good' grooves and high energy live shows.
